Authorship Policy
Authorship in JEMPI must represent genuine intellectual contribution and accountability for the published work.
Authorship Criteria
A person listed as an author should meet all of the following conditions: make a substantial contribution to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, interpretation, or scholarly argument; participate in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it; approve the final version; and accept responsibility for the integrity of the work.
Corresponding Author
The corresponding author manages communication with JEMPI and confirms that all authors have approved the submission, revisions, declarations, and final version of the article.
Contributors
Individuals who contribute to the work but do not meet the authorship criteria should be acknowledged appropriately. JEMPI encourages transparent contributor statements and recommends the use of the CRediT taxonomy when practical.
Author Order
The order of authors is determined by the authors. JEMPI does not determine author order unless clarification is required to resolve an authorship issue before publication.
Changes in Authorship
Requests to add, remove, or reorder authors after submission must include a clear reason and written agreement from all affected authors. Changes after acceptance are considered only in exceptional circumstances and may delay publication.
Unacceptable Authorship Practices
Guest, gift, honorary, purchased, and ghost authorship are not permitted. Third parties or submission services must not be used to conceal actual contributors or manipulate authorship.
