JEMPI: Journal of Educational Management, Policy and Innovation is committed to responsible, transparent, and ethical scholarly publishing. The journal's policies are guided by recognized principles of publication ethics, including the COPE Core Practices, and apply to authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher throughout the editorial and publication process.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit original work that has not been published and is not under simultaneous consideration by another journal.
  • Present data, methods, analysis, and conclusions honestly and accurately. Fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, citation manipulation, and misleading alteration of data or images are prohibited.
  • Cite sources appropriately and obtain permission for third-party material when permission is required.
  • Ensure that all listed authors meet the journal's authorship criteria and that other contributors are acknowledged appropriately.
  • Disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest, ethical approval or consent where applicable, related or overlapping publications, and substantive use of artificial intelligence tools.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Evaluate manuscripts on academic merit, relevance to JEMPI's Focus and Scope, originality, methodological quality, clarity, and contribution.
  • Maintain confidentiality and ensure that editorial decisions are not influenced by personal, institutional, financial, political, religious, gender, ethnic, or other irrelevant considerations.
  • Assign reviewers with appropriate expertise and avoid reviewer selection where a significant conflict of interest is known.
  • Recuse themselves from manuscripts for which they have a conflict of interest and transfer handling to another qualified editor.
  • Preserve editorial independence. Payment of any applicable publication fee does not determine acceptance or rejection.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, evidence-based, and timely reviews within their field of competence.
  • Treat manuscripts and review materials as confidential and do not use unpublished information for personal or professional advantage.
  • Disclose conflicts of interest and decline assignments when impartial review cannot be ensured.
  • Identify relevant published work that may have been overlooked, without using review to promote unnecessary citations.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

PT Haruna Cipta Nusantara supports the editorial independence of JEMPI, provides the infrastructure required for responsible journal management, and supports appropriate action when publication-integrity concerns arise. Commercial considerations must not override scholarly and editorial judgment.

Handling Suspected Misconduct

Concerns about possible misconduct may be raised before or after publication. JEMPI will assess concerns fairly, maintain appropriate confidentiality, seek clarification and evidence when necessary, and take proportionate editorial action.

Depending on the circumstances, actions may include requesting clarification or revision, rejecting a manuscript, issuing a correction or expression of concern, retracting an article, or referring serious matters to the relevant institution or authority.
